Lab Program

Students | Instructors

The lab program is a semester long program that is intended to help your student improve a specific area of writing throughout the entirety of the semester. The purpose is to learn how to write acceptable in and out of class essays and utilize available resources to identify and overcome writing problems. Our labs are focused on writing, not grammar. Therefore, the lab program is writing intensive.

ENG 101, 201, or 315 instructors may enroll students into the lab program if they feel their students could benefit from it. It is open for enrollment and registration within the first few weeks of the semester. If instructors would like to enroll any of their students, they should contact the Assistant Director for the proper form. This form will be used to track assignments, enrollment, and completion, and will require your signature and approval for several of these steps. Instructors may e-mail the Assistant Director at kealani@byuh.edu or call her at (808) 675-3629.
